I think this is interesting topic. I have heard that regular cotton is harmful to the environment because of all the chemicals in it. You could compare the differences between a common cotton we use in the US and organic cotton.

So far out of all of the blogs I have read, it seems everyone in this class is in agreement. Those meetings with Marlen really helped. I think this narrowing down the topic to be more specific will help you in the long run do your research paper. I wish you good luck with it!

Your thoughts seem so organized, very good! I really like your sources too- your publishing ideas. I think your home newspapers/ Indiana news papers would be a great idea.

This is a good topic you are doing. I do have a question for you. I didn’t see anything in there about the problem of how people are cutting down the rain forests. Were you going to include that in there as an example of why this is bad for the environment? If not, I’d recommend it, even though, this would be more of a source that can help you back up the point. Remember, something new to the research is needed.

This topic is a really good idea. I think it may be hard to research what actions specifically effect the rainforest so you could change it to how do IUP students actively help save the environment?

I agree with Julie and how your third topic would be your best choice. There is a lot of drinking that goes on around here and I’m sure that you would be able to get some pretty good research information from a lot of different perspectives.

I think it will be hard to write 15 pages for your first topic. I think for you second topic you will want to be more specific once you do some more research. I definatly think that your last topic could be reallying interesting especially here in Indiana where a lot of underage drinking goes on. I think out of your three topics it is the easiest to research.
